Bobels Boat Services

Bobels Boat Services is a subsidiary of Bobels Group which has been formed to operate scheduled and people oriented boat services in South Eastern Nigeria. Bobels will have a few boats as its primary assets, all brand new and ideal for use as ferries and excursion boats in the waterways.

Bobels Boat Services mission is to provide reliable, timely, and safe boat services. The company will establish its presence in the industry by acquiring 2 Boats and initial operations in Akwa Ibom Nigeria. Our main proposed travel route will be Calabar to Oron. Lagos State is also being considered.

Bobels will provide complete water taxi services using the latest equipment and technology to facilitate the travel of individuals in and around Akwa Ibom. The company’s services show that it will be an innovative, forward thinking company that recognizes the need to move with ever-changing customer needs. Additionally, Bobels Group will also resell boats in Nigeria and beyond.

The company’s strategy is to build a solid reputation and market share by establishing our business offering as a viable alternative to existing boat services in the area. The company’s goal in the next year is to pursue an aggressive marketing campaign and from that, penetrate at least 65% of the market share. Bobels long-term goal is be the top rated boat transportation company in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Our boats will be equipped with state of the art technology which will enable the company to provide timely service by giving an accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA). Reliable communications are essential under all circumstances in this business. As such, Bobels will strive to provide multiple levels of reliability to assure communications will be maintained under the most rigorous condition. The company will also build 2 state of the art jetties to support transportation and arrival (docking) of passengers.

Bobels is seeking $10,000,000 of financing to fund the acquisition of the boats and its initial operations. This funding will cover the purchase of the boats, build jetties, marketing, vehicle and initial operations.

Akwa Ibom is a state in Nigeria. It is located in the coastal southern part of the country. The state is in the South-South geopolitical zone, and is bordered on the east by Cross River State, on the west by Rivers State and Abia State, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean and the southernmost tip of Cross River State. As a result, there is significant demand for water transportation.

Akwa Ibom is one of Nigeria’s 36 states, with a population of over five million people. The state is currently the highest oil- and gas-producing state in the country. The state’s capital is Uyo, with over 500,000 inhabitants. Akwa Ibom has an airport and two major seaports on the Atlantic Ocean with a proposed construction of a world-class seaport Ibaka Seaport at Oron. In addition to English, the main spoken languages are Ibibio, Annang, Eket and Oron.

In 2017, the Akwa Ibom government budgeted N365.2 billion (About $1 Billion Dollars) for 2017 on roads, works and transport sectors.

The company’s goal in the next year is to pursue an aggressive marketing campaign and from that, penetrate at least 65% of the market share. The company’s goal in the next two to five years is be the top rated water transportation company in Akwa Ibom by continuously improving, monitoring, evaluating, and meeting customer’s needs.

Bobel’s Group also seeks to become a viable reseller of transportation, security patrol, fire rescue and sea ambulance boats in Nigeria.

Key components of Bobels initial strategy can be summarized as follows.

Establish Relationship with Seacoach Ferry Services Nigeria which is currently working to establish a manufacturing plant for boats in Lagos, Nigeria.

Sea Coach is very experienced in the ferry service industry in Sierra Leone and Nigeria operating at least 64 boats of their own in both countries. Bobels will leverage this experience and best practices for continuous improvement as they launch their operations in Akwa Ibom State. Provide a faster, more comfortable, and affordable shuttle service in Akwa Ibom State.

Profitably provide the needed boost to tourism and transportation industries (Calabar
Tinanpa etc.)

Profitably provide local tour services, boosting tourism and creating market exposure for the local arts and crafts industry, and jobs for locals.

Charter services will provide the needed attraction for the premium clientele to come for vacations here, explore the various natural wonders, have boat parties, all under their desired relaxed environment.

Recreational rentals for the fun loving young at heart who needs fancy water toys play

▪Cargo freight services (Akwa Ibom and environs) currently inadequate.

▪Make investments in the local boat manufacturing and fishing industry (fishing/smoking etc.).

▪Resale of Boats in conjunction with Harbor Boats USA – Bobels has a partnership agreement with Harbor Boats to resell boats for transportation, Security Patrol, Fire Rescue and Sea Ambulance purposes.
